Elemental LED, a San Francisco Bay Area-based LED lighting company, was recently recognized in an article about energy conservation on Examiner.com. The article cast Elemental LED as being at the forefront of philanthropy when it comes to donating LED lights and promoting energy conservation.
The article aligns Elemental LED with retail giants like Home Depot, LG and Best Buy, as well as San Francisco Bay Area green businesses like The Green Home Business Center, which are all companies making major contributions towards energy conservation.
Since its inception in 2008, Elemental LED has been donating their energy conservation products to those in need. Recognizing Elemental LED’s philanthropic efforts, Examiner.com's Sustainable Living Examiner Michael Gutman, highlighted some of the organization’s recent efforts to give back to the community.
The article praises that “Elemental has donated products to the Give the Kids the World foundation to help create a magical experience for children with life threatening illnesses, donated to the On the Green Road project which promotes sustainability and energy conservation around the US, and has donated to the Wonderarium Project, which is a growing exhibit designed to educate people about sustainable agriculture.”
“These donations are very much in line with the core values of Elemental LED,” says CEO of Elemental LED Max Darling. “We are an organization of people who care about our work and our work’s impact on the environment and community. It is important that the values of our organization mirror the values of the people working here.”
The article goes on to say, ”Elemental LED’s donations have an immediate effect of conserving global energy resources and subsidizes the cost of the projects, however the money these organizations save from energy conservation will get passed down to the people they are trying to help.”
In an effort to increase the company’s impact on energy conservation, Elemental LED recently developed the Reduce Energy and Contribute to Humanity (REACH) program. The mission of the REACH program is to educate the community about the benefits of sustainability and energy conservation and how the application of LED lights will progress this cause. Through REACH, Elemental LED donates LED lighting and provides energy conservation services to those in need in the community.
The REACH program will not only benefit the local community through education and energy conservation, but will act as a model for other organizations looking to help push the green movement forward.
