Elemental's Waterproof Flexible LED Strip Lights are commercial-grade rope lights designed for exterior and interior home and business use in situations with higher traffic and more rugged conditions like toe kick lighting, and have some unique uses. Boaters find these waterproof LED lights perfect for subtle onboard deck lighting, and yachters love waterproof LED ribbons for adding light to their kitchens or sleeping quarters. Automotive experts use it for brighter, more efficient footwell illumination, in the glove box, under the chassis, or even under the hood. However, this strip light is not intended to be submerged and is not for use in salt water or chlorine conditions. Flexible Waterproof LED Light Strips are sold by the foot so you can order the exact length you need.

Waterproof LED Light strips are also ideal for:

  • Restaurants, lounges, homes and retail stores
  • Aquarium, pool, fountain, and garden lighting
  • Lighting art and wine cellars (no UV emissions)
  • Outdoor tent lighting
  • Kitchen, bathroom, and under cabinet lighting
  • Garage, basement, deck, and patio lighting
  • Automotive accent lighting for RV's and cars

Installation of strip lighting is easy: simply attach it where you wish with Waterproof Strip Light Mounting Clips, double-sided tape, or glue. These strips are energy-efficient and use only 1.44 watts of energy per foot. This translates to a $6 per foot operating cost, and that's if they are left on all year! That means that this Flexible Waterproof LED Light will pay for itself within one year.

Sort by Descending
  1. Can I cut these? If so, how?

The Waterproof LED Flexible Light can be cut with normal scissors every two inches or every three LEDs.
  2. What is the longest length I can run on one 12 volt source?

The Waterproof LED Flexible Light is available in 16.3-foot spools, and 20 feet is the maximum length that can be run off one power supply. This is due to voltage drop-off, which is a phenomenon where the electrical signal weakens at a certain point and the light starts to dim. With these strips, that doesn't happen until after 20 feet.
  3. How would you recommend I use these on my yacht?

Our Waterproof LED Flexible Light can be used as waterproof deck lighting, decorative lights, or in the kitchen as under-cabinet lighting. If you have a special application, our engineers will be happy to help you. Email them at answers@elementalled.com
  4. Is the light from these LEDs a warm hue suitable for a kitchen? Also, are the bulbs replaceable?
    Thank you,
    Dawn Perkins

Yes, the light is certainly suitable for under your kitchen cabinets. The bulbs are estimated to last for 50,000 hours. If an LED fails for some reason, this will not affect the rest in the array and will not be noticeable. However, technically, you could replace the section since the lights are cuttable every 2 inches. Every section of 2 inches contains three LEDs.
  5. Are the waterproof led lights able to be used in inground pools and waterfalls, and do you need a special underwater-rated transformer?

Thank you for your inquiry. Yes the waterproof LED lights can be used in an application such as the one you described. Any of our LED Drivers will be safe to use for the application in question. They are, indeed, waterproof which is ideal for that kind of application.
  6. I'm using these for under-cabinet lighting to light counters. Which color light, the Natural White or the Warm, would give the best light fot this purpose? Also, do you need separate drivers for separate cabinet areas?

We typically use Warm White for under cabinets, since it is what we're used to inside our home. For your installation, you could use either a separate driver for each area or one driver for all areas. Using one driver or multiple drivers depends on what is easiest for you.
  7. Can I hook this strip up directly to a 12v battery with a solar charger panel? I would like to back light a silhouette sign in a remote location.

Yes, you can use a 12V battery with a solar charger to power this strip (or any 12V battery with any of our other 12V LED lighting products).
  8. If I already have 12V wiring run to a outdoor location where I want to install these, can I hook them directly to the wire?

If you have 12VDC power supplied to your location, you can run our LED strip light. This particular strip requires 1.44 watts/foot, so be sure you have enough power.
  9. I am wanting to put these in a movie theater down the aisles. The length of the aisle is 50 feet. Can I run that total length in one strip if I connect the strip to a power source, plug in or wire in to our electrical?

We do not recommend a continuous length of strip that long. Instead, just make sure that each 16.5 foot section of strip makes a home-run back to the 12V transformer.
