Waterproof Flexible LED Strip Light is on offer by the 9.5 foot spool at a special price. Each spool comes with hard-wired waterproof plugs, so it's the ultimate plug-and-play LED lighting. Waterproof LED Light Strips are commercial-grade LED lights for home and business use in both exterior and interior situations that require protection against the elements, and have some unique uses. Boaters find LED strip lighting perfect for subtle onboard deck lighting, and yachters for adding light to their kitchens or sleeping quarters. Automotive experts use it for brighter, more efficient footwell illumination, in the glove box, under the chassis, or even under the hood. However, this strip light is not intended to be submerged and is not for use in salt water or chlorine conditions.

Waterproof LED Light strips are also ideal for:

  • Restaurants, bars, lounges, and casinos
  • Toe kick lighting for kitchens and bathrooms
  • Decorative and accent lighting
  • Landscape, aquarium, and garden lighting
  • Lighting art and wine cellars (no UV emissions)
  • Outdoor tent lighting
  • Kitchen, bathroom, and under cabinet lighting
  • Vehicular accent lighting for limousines, RV's and cars
  • Yachts and cruise ships

Installation of strip lighting is easy: simply attach it where you wish with Waterproof Strip Light Mounting Clips, double-sided tape, or glue. Every 16.4 feet of strip must have its own connection to a power source. For sections of 15 ft. or less, simply connect the strip to our LED Light Bar Adapter Cable and a 24 Watt 12V Plug-In Adapter. Our 60W LED Driver will power up to 25 feet.

  1. What else do I need to go with this strip? Does it come with DC converter and cable?

It does not come with a cable or power supply. You'll need either a plug-in 24W 12V adapter with an LED Light Bar Adapter Cable, or a 12V hard-wired driver with a Waterproof Solder Connector Pair to complete the installation. The Solder Pair and Adapter Cable can be found on the Accessories page.
  2. I want to use this product on my exterior deck which is rectangular shaped. How do I install 90 degree turns with the strip light?

The best way would be to cut the strip into the right sized sections at the proper cut points, then scrape away the silicone layer from the contacts, solder a few inches of our 18/2 Lamp Wire between the sections, then seal the entire joint with rubber heat shrink (which is available at most hardware stores.) And don't forget to slip the heat shrink on to one section before soldering the strip sections together!
  3. (questions for waterproof flexible strip lights I have a possible customer application for this product as lighting for a new set of outdoor stairs on a historic home. The strips would be placed in a routed or grooved area under the front edge of each step. There are 5 steps, each about 3-1/2 feet wide. My questions: 1) When we cut the strip to start a new length for each step, how do we start a new feed? 2) Can we solder a new set of feed wires on to the strip or ? 3) Will the new feed be equally waterproof? 4)Regarding the accessory mounting clips with included screw: are they really $1.50 each as shown?
    Thanks,
    Terry

Yes, you would just cut each length of strip and carefully scrape away the silicone rubber from the strip light contacts, then solder the sections together. We sell 18 gauge 2 strand wire that you can use for this (the product is called 18/2 Lamp Wire). After soldering the connections, you'll need to reseal them using silicone caulking or some other waterproofing agent. Only after the connections have been sealed is the installation waterproof again. We have a Waterproof Strip Light Sealing Kit--that includes everything you need for this installation--that hasn't been listed on the site yet, but you can place your order over the phone and we can get it to you.
  4. I have an RV with 12v power. Can the strip be plugged into the 12v supply? What is the operating voltage range of the strip? What type of dimmer would be best for about a 10' section?

Yes, the Strips can be plugged into the 12v DC power that comes from almost all Car/Truck/Motorcycle/Boat batteries. No adapter is required. (The Strips operate on 12v DC)
You can choose from either an Inline Dimmer Switch, or a Reign Dimmer Switch for your set up. (It just depends on your preference)
