The Wall Mount RGB Color Controller is an advanced wireless micro-control unit used for controlling any of our full-color RGB LED lights. This package features the color controller, a lightweight wall-mounted wireless remote control, and a wireless handheld remote control, all of which allow you to change the mode, speed, and brightness of your full color LED lighting, whether LED strips, light bars, or RGB wall washers. With this wall mount unit, connection to your RGB fixtures and 12V or 24V DC power source is simple and fast. The wall mount keypad can be mounted either on a surface, or recessed into a wall or cabinet.

All of our color LED lights require a color controller to interface between the power source and the fixture, and this controller package has it all. The wireless Wall Mount RGB Controller has many features that can be accessed by either the controller or remote:

  • 21 color-changing modes: 3 color flash, 7 color flash, fade, 2 color crossfade, and single color flashing
  • 7 static color modes
  • Brightness control: 256 levels
  • Speed control: 100 levels
  • Memory: the controller remembers your last command after the controller is powered off and back on

This low heat, low voltage LED accessory is an exciting new addition to our line of energy-efficient, cutting edge LED lights, and unlocks all the possibilities in color mood, whether for a party or special event; to create mood lighting in a living room, club, bar, or restaurant; or to add dynamic color-changing to any home or business. Just wire the positive and negative leads of your low voltage driver or adapter, and the three color wires and common positive wire of your color LED light to the main controller, and you're ready to enjoy color-changing LEDs!

  1. Does this controller come with a female DC connector to connect to power adapter/driver or screw terminals?

From Guest at 6/4/10 7:12 AM
This controller does not come with the female LED Adapter Splice Cable, which is shown in the picture as an illustration of how to connect the controller to an adapter.
  2. If I have two RGB strips and each one is connected to a different color controller, will each remote operate independently? Another way of asking the same question: Is there a way to set the remotes so they pair with a color controller?

From Guest at 6/4/10 7:15 AM
If two controllers are within range of the same remote, the remote should control both of them. But the remote will not necessarily put the controllers in the same color-changing mode. It's possible you could synchronize two controllers by setting both to the same mode on the controller itself, then changing both with one remote, but we can't guarantee this will work!
  3. What is the range of the remote control, and how does this differ from the Wiser Controller?

From Guest at 8/18/10 9:35 AM
It depends to some extent on where/how it's installed, but you should see a range up to about 100 feet with the remote control. The big difference between this controller and the Wiser: the Wiser uses an infrared signal, while this item uses radio frequency. An IR signal must maintain a line-of-sight with the control module and the RF signal does not.
  4. I don't really care about fancy modes, but I want to know if this controller can do the following simple task: Choose any RGB color (not one of the 3 or 7 static colors shown in the chart) as a static color, adjust that color's brightness, and then turn the strip on/off with that same color/brightness restoring at power on.

From Guest at 1/5/11 12:17 PM
This controller will do all of those things except enable you to choose ANY color. The static colors you can choose from on our standard controllers (the Wall Mount, Wiser, and High Power RF) are pre-assigned. If you want to be able to program a precise color from the million colors available in an RGB LED light, you'll need either a DMX controller (such as our Apollo DMX Controller), or you'll need to use an RGB light that has built-in DMX controls (such as our RGB Wall Washers).
  5. Do you have a template for cutting a hole in the wall to insert the wall mount remote flush with the wall?

From Guest at 1/27/11 4:11 PM
We don't have a physical template, but the dimensions of the part of the controller that would be recessed into the wall are: Width: 2.5 inches, Length: 4.25 inches, and Depth: 0.95 inches. The depth of the exposed lip is 0.3 inches. The wall controller does not have mounting hardware, so that's something you should take into consideration.
  6. Using the Wall Mount RGB Controller, can I daisy-chain the 13" RGB Wall Washer to 4' of High Density RGB Strip Light? From the controller to the 13" RGB Wall Washer is about 8' and from the 13" RGB Wall Washer to the High Density RGB Strip Light is about 8', will this require an RGB signal booster? Which power supply would you recommend and are there additional accessories I would need? Thanks

From Guest at 5/22/11 7:58 PM
This Wall Mount Controller isn't directly compatible with our wall washers, which are DMX devices. But the good news is that our Apollo DMX Color Controller can command both the 13" RGB Wall Washer and the High Density Strip, which are each connected at a different point on the controller, which also solves the problem of daisy-chaining these two fixture types (which would normally be tricky.)

You can use the 16.5 RGB Extension Cable (in "Color-Changing Accessories") to extend the distance from the controller to the Strip Light. You won't need a signal booster unless you are using more than 16 feet of RGB Strip (any strip beyond the 16 feet needs an RGB Signal Amplifier.) Any strip light that's connected to the Apollo is powered through the Apollo, so you'll need a 12V Adapter that has enough power for the amount of strip you're using.

To extend the distance between the Apollo and the wall washer, you'll need to find a 3-pin DMX extension cable (which we don't sell, but you should be able to find it online easily.) The wall washer is plugged into the wall, and so is powered separately from the Apollo.
