The Super Bright LED Module Light is a compact LED light fixture that is sold by the module, allowing you to install as many lights as you need, all powered by the same source, whether a plug-in adapter or hard-wired 12V driver. This bright module light is available in many colors: warm neutral white, red, green, blue, amber, or purple. Our LED Spot Light module is sold in your choice of two light beam angles: the 15° has a tight light beam angle, while the 45° LED Flood Light version provides a wider light spread. This outdoor module light is wet location rated and features a waterproof plug that creates a secure and weatherproof connection, so it can be used outdoors--whether in deck, patio, garden, or sign lighting--or anywhere indoors, for commercial, retail and home lighting. Each LED Module is made of sturdy aluminum and includes two mounting screws.
Due to their size (roughly 1.1 inches high and only 1.5 inches wide), the real power of these LED Light Modules is that they can be used in tight places, and you can have as many or as few bulbs as you like: inside signs, shadow boxes, light boxes, glass tables and cabinets, boxes, windows, the list is endless. looks great! They were put in our shower. The walls are of slate and we have black pebbles flooring. Feels like being at a spa. The warm color of the lights add to this relaxing feeling!

I see the white lights put out a fair amount of lumens, but am hoping for a lesser glow. Do the colored lights provide the same spot light effect, or are they more of a subtle glow?
From Russ at 10/17/12 10:51 AMThe other colors of light will not have as high of a Lumen output as the Warm White and the Neutral White, they will still have a spotlight type of projection. We do not currently have the Lumen output ratings on the other colors of Super Bright LED Light Modules, but we have observed that some colors (like Blue or Purple) are significantly dimmer than the White color temperatures.

About how far would a 15 degree in neutral white project?

Are these modules dimmable? If so, what dimmer would you recommend for these modules?

would these be suitable as ceiling lights in a kitchen/dining area? and are they similar to downlights in that you cannot cover them with the ceiling insulation?

thanksThe Super Bright LED Module Light may not be the best choice for ceiling lighting for a kitchen and/or dining area. They are certainly quite powerful, but they have a much thinner beam angle than most of our other LED's, and are not dimmable.
We do have a variety of other LED's that may work for your application. (While Supplies last) The Tess LED Light Bulbs may be a good consideration in the mean time.
