Elemental LED is transitioning to the new, easier-to-use Clicktight™ Strip Light Connectors. If you don't see the size or length option you need here, please go to the Clicktight™ Strip Light Bending Extension page.

This Strip-to-Strip Bending Extension allows two LED strip lights to be connected and make any turn between 10° and 180° inside picture frames, display cases, in shelving, or any other situation where both continuous lighting and flexibility are needed. This connector is both flexible and holds its shape, so you just bend to the desired angle, and the connector will remain at that angle. Each arm of the connector is only 1.4" long, enabling strip lighting to reach into small, dark corners. This bending extension connector comes in different versions:

  • Standard type: fits 0.3 inch wide Flexible, Softview™ and High Density Strips
  • Brighter type: fits 0.4 inch wide Brighter and High Density Brighter Strip Light
  • Double Wide type: fits Double Wide Strip Light
  • RGB type: fits Flexible RGB and High Density RGB Strip Light

Elemental recommends that you pre-assemble all components in an LED light installation before installing them permanently to insure that components are properly connected.

Using this connector couldn't be easier. Instructions for use:

  1. Pull the brown molex clamp away from the strip using the two small brown tabs.
  2. Match the +/- polarity of the strip (or RGB+ for RGB strip) to that of the connector. (Please note that the connector will work properly on only one end of a strip light, so you may need to try both ends to find the right polarity.)
  3. Slide Flexible LED Light into the connector
  4. Using care, firmly secure the clamp with the tabs by squeezing them toward the cable.
  5. Repeat process for the other section of strip.

The first one I tried to use- one end pulled off- I was unable to reconnect the two pairs of soldered prongs and get the boot to cover them- I'll use it as a strip connector. The second one worked as intended.

If you are using a strip that has the word "Brighter" in the name, you will be requiring the "brighter size" connectors.
If it does not include the word "Brighter" you will be using our standard size connector (exception is the Double Wide LED Strip and the white balance system)
