We offer the Reign LED Dimmer / 60W 12V Indoor/Outdoor Driver Package as an easy and economical way to bring dimming capabilities for our LED lights right to your home or business. Each kit includes one Reign Dimmer--with your choice of two styles--and one 60W 12V Driver that is designed to be hard-wired to your 120V AC household power.
Reign LED Dimmer Switches were engineered by Elemental as low voltage dimmers that fit right into a standard wall light switch box. These 12V-24V PWM dimmers are connected between the 12V or 24V power supply and 12V or 24V LED fixture, and will dim any of our LED lights that are capable of dimming, such as any of our strip lights and most of our light bars. These sturdy dimmers are the ultimate LED retrofit accessory that allows you to take advantage of dimmable LEDs. Reign switches make it easy to create a seamless LED installation using your existing switch boxes.
Our line of Reign dimmer switches are available in two styles, and all offer the same, smooth dimming range, from 100% down to 0%, with no flickering, humming, or jumping.
Our 12V Indoor/Outdoor Driver provides the steady voltage and high efficiency you need to get the most from your LED lights. All our 12V or 24V LED drivers are energy efficient, eco-friendly, and safe, as they produce less heat and are more cost-effective than higher voltage light fixtures. The LED power driver is designed to last for many years, much longer than a switching power adapter. And unlike standard adapters, it draws power only when the attached LED light fixtures are turned on, which eliminates phantom energy consumption.

THE ONLY WAY TO GET NO FLICKERING

This is the only way to get NO FLICKERING... period amen. I tried everything on the line voltage side to get rid of the flicker. Bite the bullet and rewire you'll be very pleased with the results. -

Highly recommended. Works great with bright led light tape. You can brighten for functionality and dim for nice soft feel.

This may be a dumb question. Is the power consumed by this unit a constant 60W or is the power consumed dictated by the amount of LEDs connected. I plan on connecting an 11 foot strip of water proof LEDs at 1.44W a foot (15.84 watts). What is the actual wattage consumed? Is it a constant 60 watts or is it 15.84 watts?
From Guest at 6/16/11 4:00 PMThe watts consumed depends on the LED lights you use, not the switch or the power supply. You're correct that 11 feet of Flexible Strip Light would use about 16 watts of power. The only thing to keep in mind is that the power consumed is slightly more than the sum of feet times watts, so we recommend using only 80% of the capacity of the power supply (so you would use LED lights that draw a total of 48W or less on a 60W driver, for example). -
If I hardwire from this 60W power source, can I have multiple dimmers off this one power source using either your 12v dimmers or the inline ones. Of course being aware of the 80 percent rule and voltage drop with the wire. thanks

Can this be used with your LED puck lights (SKU: EL-DIM3WCREE)? The wiring diagrams and specification sheets all mention strip lights and tape, so I just want to verify. If so, do I still have to order the DC splitter plugs and CD extension cables? Or can this product be ordered with the same connector as those products?

Thank you!Yes. these switches work great with the Puck Lights. Though the Reign Dimmers / 60W Drivers do not come with a DC plug already on them, this is easily remedied with an LED Adapter Splice Cable. This can adapt them to the DC plugs on the ends of the Puck lights.
Your other option would be to use Adapter Splice Cables on each of the Puck lights so that they can be hard-wired back to the Reign Dimmer Switch.
Either way will work well. -
What guage are the 120Vac and 12Vdc wires coming out of this 60W driver. I want to locate the dimmer switch 7 feet (84 inches) from the driver and want to make sure that I use the proper guage for this distance. Thanks. Matt
