Our Rechargeable Li-ion Battery Pack is designed specifically to integrate with our Light bars, Flexible LED Lights, or any 12V DC electronic device. The Lithium Ion Battery Pack can be recharged without limitations, as the battery charging process is designed for a slow charge process (8 hours for full charge), which helps the battery pack last longer. Li-ion batteries are commonly found in a laptop or cell phone, due to their compact yet strong nature.
Each Lithium Ion Battery Pack comes with:
One 3.7” x 2.4”x 1.1” battery box with an integrated On/Off switch
An Adapter
An extension cable: with 2 male DC plugs, 26” long
Charging this battery pack is simple:
To charge your battery pack, insert the male DC plug of the adapter into the female DC jack of the battery pack.
Plug the adapter into a 120VAC outlet and two red LEDs will light up, one on the adapter and one on the battery pack.
To begin charging, flip the switch on the battery pack to ON (–) and a green LED will light up on the adapter. Once the green LED light turns off, the battery is done charging. Charging may take up to 8 hours.
Once fully charged, flip the battery pack switch to OFF (O) to prevent battery drainage.
To calculate the battery life: Divide the Battery Capacity in milliamp hours (mAH) by the Fixture Power Consumption in milliamps (mA) to get the Battery Discharge Rate (hours). For example, this battery has a capacity of 3800mAH and is powering 5 feet of strip light rated at 120mA/ft. First, determine the total power consumption by multiplying 120mA x 5 ft. = 600mA. Next, divide 3800mAH / 600mA = 6.33 hours. Therefore, the battery will power the strip for 6.33 hours.

Battery Overload / Short Circuit protection: This battery pack employs a safety feature that, should any overload / over voltage / short circuit be detected, the battery will automatically cut off the output voltage. In the event that this happens, you will need to recharge the battery again.
Troubleshooting tips:
The battery pack must be switched to the ON (--) position to re-fill a charge.
The red light on the battery pack indicates the battery is turned ON (--).
The green light on the adapter/charger indicates the battery pack is in the process of charging.
How long will one foot of Flexible LED Light last on a fully charged battery?
From Guest at 6/3/10 8:20 AM
One foot of our Flexible LED Light will last approximately 12 hours until the battery will need to be recharged.
I would like to know how long your Rechargeable Li-ion Battery Pack would last powering an LED RGB Strip that is 10 feet in length. This would be for movable displays.
From Guest at 6/3/10 8:41 AM
Our Lithium Ion Battery Pack is rated at 1800mAH or 1.8 AH (amp-hours). Our Flexible RGB LED Light consumes 1.25 watts per foot and 12.5 watts for a 10-foot length. 12.5 watts at 12 volts pulls about 1 amp. Since this battery is rated for 1.8 AH (amp-hours), the 10-foot-long Flexible RGB LED Light would last about 1.5 hours.
How long would a 7-foot low output flexible LED be powered on the battery pack?
From Guest at 6/4/10 7:17 AM
This battery is rated at 1800mA hours.
would this battery power a heated jacket, thanks
From Guest at 9/8/10 9:40 PM
It would, as long as the jacket requires 12VDC power. I recommend you check the mAh supplied by the battery to what would be consumed by the jacket to determine if the battery would be sufficient.
Is there a way to fast charge this battery?
From Guest at 12/16/10 12:43 PM
There is no fast charge option for this battery, just the slow charge.
Is the battery included?
From Guest at 3/9/11 1:26 PM
Yes. It also includes a charger and cable.
Can the battery be placed into a wooden compartment that is 1.25 high and 6 inches square or will it overheat
T
From Guest at 3/15/11 5:03 PM
Yes, there should be no problem putting this is a housing.
Can the battery be used whilst being charged in order to avoid mains spikes on sensitive 12V equipment?
From Guest at 7/5/11 1:46 AM
This battery has only one port that's used for input and output of 12V power. Our High Capacity Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery has one input and one output, so it could be used while charging. We haven't tested how constant the current is when the adapter is being plugged in or unplugged.
What is the max output current it can provide at 12 V ?
From Guest at 7/19/11 2:39 AM
The maximum current output is 2 Amps.
How do I calculate how long this battery will power an LED fixture?
From Guest at 8/1/11 2:52 PM
To get the number of hours, simply divide the battery's Capacity (this one is 3800mA) by the light's power consumption in milli-amps (mA), which is listed in the product's Tech Specs tab. The 20 inch Brighter LED Light Bar, for example, uses 300 mA of electricity.
