The Magnetic ON-OFF Switch is an LED accessory that is suitable for drawers, cabinets, closets, and cupboards and allows you to turn on your LED light fixture just by opening a drawer or cupboard door. This magnetic light switch connects easily to a 12V - 24V DC power source so that, when the two components are in contact, the electrical circuit is broken and the light switches off. This hands-free light switch is as compact as an LED light bar or strip, and enables you to reach those hard-to-light spots--whether storage areas, kitchen cabinets, closets--in any room in the house.
Installation of this open-circuit drawer light switch is simple: just connect the negative wire of the low voltage LED power source to one terminal on one component; connect the negative wire of the LED light fixture to the other terminal; slip the protective housing over the terminals. After connecting the positive wires of the LED power source and the LED light, you then attach the unwired component to the moving surface, whether a drawer or door, and attach the wired one to the fixed surface, whether a cabinet, shelf, drawer housing, or door frame, making sure the white arrows of the two parts point towards each other.
This light switch set comes with a protective housing that slips over the connection terminals on the wired component, so you don’t have to worry about any exposed wiring. This switch is RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Materials) certified, which assures that no toxic materials were used at any stage in manufacturing this product.

I needed a lighting solution for a small under-stair closet that I converted to an office/workspace. This switch in combination with an LED Brighter light bar was the perfect solution. No problem setting up, and light is only on when I need it (i.e., when the door is open.

Can I use a splitter from the DC power supply to go to two different magnetic switches? Or does the switch have to connect directly to the power source?

As long as the arrows are facing each other does it matter if I flip one connector around so that I can mount it on the inside of a safe? So in the pic above you would just flip over one of the connectors but both arrows are still facing each other.

MikeIt should work since it's a simple magnet. And since only the live wires are going through it, there wouldn't be any reverse polarity or anything.
