How to Install Outdoor LED Lighting

This is video number 7 in our LEDucation series, and shows you how we installed waterproof LED strip lighting around the patio in a garden. Through step-by-step instruction about how to make a few wiring connections, you can see how to bring low voltage LED lighting into an outdoor space to help you bar-b-que, socialize, or just relax!

    The connection where the wires are twisted together and covered with heat shrink should be soldered. Twisting wires is not a permanent connection.

    what’s the name of wiremold the one came’s whit the top face clear.
    to setup in side the slate concrete.

    Yes, you can connect them by peeling back the silicone from the contacts on each of the sections and soldering them together with 18 gauge wire.

    Thanks for the comment, Bill. We looked up the minimum depth for the wire to be up to code, but is it something different? Please let us know!

    Also, I need about three more feet added to my nine feet of waterproof LED strip. Is that possible? Thx, again.

    Very nice video, thanks. However, I would say the lamp cord buried does not meet code. I have the nine-foot waterproof LED strip and would like to dim. Is that possible? Thx.
