What are the different LED connector types?

If there’s one thing that can get confusing, it’s all our different connector types. Here are the most commonly-used connectors we sell, which are those used to connect light strips and light bars to plug-in adapters and hard-wired power drivers.

Currently our Side View LED Strip Lights and Waterproof RGB LED Strip Lights can be connected to a power source only by soldering lead wires onto them. Soldered lead wires connect to a plug-in adapter through the LED Adapter Splice Cable, and connect directly to the wires on a hard-wired power driver. We sell this strip by the 16.4 foot spool, which comes with a hard-wired waterproof plug at each end a pair of waterproof solder connectors, which turn the waterproof plug into two lead wires. So you use that to connect to the leads on the driver. And since you’re doing 20 geet, I’d recommend ordering some Pre-Wired Waterproof LED Strips, which come in 1 and 2 foot sections. These are pre-wired with waterproof plugs and sealed, so you won’t have to cut, splice, solder, or re-seal anything. They connect directly to the strip spool. Each spool comes with a few Waterproof Strip Mounting Clips, and you can order more of them on the Accessories page, depending on how many you need. I’d recommend a clip every 6 inches or so.

If I want to have 20ft of the EL-IMGWPRIB12V and connect it to a driver, what connector do I need? Also, are there any clips or brackets I need to hold it in place? Install will be under cabinet lights
