Photo Contest Update – Submission Date Extended Two Days!

Due to requests from many of our readers for more time, we are extending the deadline of the Earth Day Photo Contest until Wednesday April 20th. That gives you two extra days to send us your photo that captures the beauty of natural light.

Celebrate Earth Day by celebrating the sun with us—the earth’s our own amazing natural light source. Because when it comes to light, even at Elemental LED we know that continuously burning ball in the sky comes 2nd to none. Get creative and capture how you see the beauty of natural light. You could capture the sun’s light reflected off surfaces or you could point your camera right into the sky. The light could be filtered through clouds, windows, air and spaces, or not filtered at all. The possibilities are limitless.

To enter please send the following to social@elementalled.com by April 20, 2011:

  • Your email address
  • Your Full Name
  • Your Photo of natural light with a brief description
  • A link to your blog/site (optional)

Details:

Images sent by participants will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact and artistic merit. The judges are a panel of Elemental LED staff members familiar with photography and responsible for selecting images for the Elemental LED website and blog.

Winners will be announced on the Elemental LED blog on Earth Day, April 22, 2011! The grand prize winner will have his/her photo published that day. 1st runner-up, 2nd runner-up and honorable mentions will have their photos published the following week.

Rules & Restrictions:

  • Only one photo submission per contestant, please.
  • Prizes can only be shipped to U.S. and Canada.
  • We will not publish a link to your website if it contains profane and offensive material, or an excessive amount of paid links and advertisements.
