Elemental’s newest in-house design, the PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) Injector, doubles LED dimmer capacity, making it possible to draw an additional 60 watts out of an LED dimmer switch, allowing users to attach twice as many dimmable LED lights to the same switch. The PWM Injector works with the Reign 12V LED Dimmer Switch and doubles the maximum LED lighting output of the dimmer from 60 to 120 watts. Once connected to the output circuit of the Reign Dimmer, the PWM Injector drives an additional 60 watts, allowing you to put an additional 60W worth of LED lights on a single 12V LED dimmer.
We’re excited to announce the sale of this new 12V accessory because it means our customers can expand LED light installations as much as they require, while observing the 60 Watt safety limit of the Reign 12V Dimmer. This is because the PWM signal of the Injector is opto-isolated and regenerated, which is a technical way of saying that several PWM Injectors can be attached to the same Reign LED switch, and control the signal when multiplied over long distances. Thus, the PWM Injector eliminates one of the biggest practical drawbacks of a dimmer LED switch, which is the wattage limit.
The PWM Injector needs to be connected to a 12V DC power supply separate from the LED dimmer switch. So it can be powered either by the same 12V Indoor/Outdoor Driver as the LED lights or have its own 12V power source, if you need to install the Injector at a distance from the Reign switch. It just needs to be drawing its own 12 volts.
Installing the PWM Injector is easy and straightforward. It features a sturdy waterproof housing with a detachable backing plate that allows the unit to be mounted on any flat surface. This 12V DC accessory has one input that connects to the output wires of the Reign Dimmer, one output that connects to the 12V LEDs, and one 12V power input. The Wiring Diagrams tab on the product page has a detailed schematic that shows you how to install the PWM Injector.
