It is true. When it comes to being foodies and sustainabilies we are elitists. Or at least we think we are. One way to ensure our knowledge is up to par with the next is to take advantage of green tours. In fact, a recent tour did a progressive dinner to three different “green” restaurants in the East Bay. Appetizers were served at Gather, entrees devoured at Five Restaurant, and desserts were tasted at Revival Kitchen + Bar. Chefs from each of the restaurants came and talked with the members on the tour about the importance of having a connection to ones food, knowing where it comes from and being aware of the ingredients used to prepare it.
It is rumoured that a sustainable food tour will happen every month and if you want to be in the know when it comes to sustainable food in the Bay Area, this is a hot ticket. You can check out all the upcoming events here.
