The LED Light Bar Extension Cable is the optimal accessory for getting the most out of your LED light bar or waterproof LED strip light installation. Whether in a lighting situation like the kitchen or bathroom, garage or basement, a restaurant or bar, where you are using any one of our Waterproof LED Light Bars; or in a dry spot like the living room or den, shelves or cabinets, a retail store, a display case, where you might use our Brighter LED Light Bars, this LED extension cable is very handy.
These waterproof LED extension cables are available in three sizes: 12 inch, 24 inch, and 40 inch. Some of this extension cable's benefits include:

Can this extension be used in direct burial applications?
While this extension cable is waterproof and weatherproof, for burial underground we recommend instead our 18/2 LED Lamp Wire, which has a thicker insulation and is made specifically for applications like this, and is sold by the foot in custom lengths. -
Are any of your low voltage wires and extension cables rated for inside walls?
Our extension cables are not rated for inside walls, but you can easily use 18/2 Lamp Wire or 12/2 wire to connect our lights from behind a wall. -
To me it seems like an obvious question, "How do I string a number of your LED light bars together within my patio cover"? Can I interconnect them like Christmas lights? For an example, how many six to ten 12" light bars can be run off of one power source and dimmer switch? I can't seem to find anything on your website that addresses this question. Can I place one LED light bar in one position and connect it with other LED light bars in other selected positions with extension cables. How many light bars can I attach off of one power source and dimmer as a patio lighting system? Maybe this is not a possibility. I would think that is a common application of your LED light bars but I can't find any reference to this sort of installation on your website.
Hello. These are all good questions, and I can direct you to the answers to them. Our Waterproof and Waterproof Brighter LED Light Bars are both dimmable and perfect for use outdoors. They use the same waterproof connector plug, so they can be daisy-chained, and they can be connected to the Waterproof Extension Cables in almost any configuration you need.
To see the maximum number of bars you can daisy-chain in one "run", just go to the Tech Specs tab on the product page for any given light bar.
You can dim these bars either with an 12V Inline Dimmer Switch, which has a wattage limit of 24 Watts; or with a Reign 12V Dimmer Switch, which fits into a standard light switch box, and which has a wattage limit of 60W. The wattage limits tell you the limit of the total wattage of all the bars in your run. So if you daisy-chain three bars that use 2.2W, the total is 6.6W.
