The LED Adapter Splice Cable is the perfect cable for those who prefer a hard-wire connection between their LED strip lighting and their DC adapter. A substitute for the LED Light Bar Adapter Cable (which features a coaxial plug for the adapter and a two-prong plug for the light strip), the LED Adapter Splice Cable will change our standard DC plug to two exposed wires that can then be soldered directly to our LED strip lights.

The LED Adapter Splice Cable is a full 42 inches long, so it also serves the function of a safe and permanent extension cord for any of our DC adapters.

  1. adapter cable

Works fine, but cable should be marked with the proper positive and negative signs on the two lead stranded insulation. Otherwise, it's hit or miss....don't know if that can harm the controller, but to be safe I checked continuity first so I knew which was positive.

  1. I need to make a span of 5' and 3' between non-waterproof flexible strips. Do you make a product that allows me to do this without soldering to the light strip?

The best accessory we offer for solving this problem is the <a href=\http://www.elementalled.com/ElementalLED-Store/LED-Product-Accessories/DC-Plug-1-Meter-Extension-Cable-225/product.html\">DC Plug 1 Meter Extension Cable</a>
  2. I just want to be on the same page with you guys and not make any mistake from either party before ordering. Would you say that the cable in the main picture and below it third picture from the left is a female cable? Some people may call it a male because it goes inside the controller.

The picture you are referring to is a male LED Adapter Splice Cable. The first and last picture of the first row will show you the female variation of this connector.
