High Density Flexible Ultraviolet LED Strip Light (UV) spool

High Density Flexible Ultraviolet LED Strip Light is sold by the 16.4 foot spool at a 20% discount over the by-the-foot price. This high output UV Strip Light is a highly specific LED lighting tool that nonetheless has a wide array of business and home uses. The High Density version of this strip has twice the lumen output of our standard Flexible UV Strip. This UL-listed ultraviolet strip light is rated at 385 Nanometers and gives off UV light that falls in the range of “Near” UV light.

Ultraviolet LEDs are useful for many applications, including:

• Security: use the UV strip light to authenticate documents: driver’s licenses, passports, and credit cards usually include a watermark that is visible only under UV light. Use it to detect the authenticity of materials that may look the same under visible light, such as money, artwork, minerals, and gems, but which fluoresce to different degrees under ultraviolet light.
• Sterilization: our ultraviolet LED lights are used to sterilize workspaces and tools in medical facilities, laboratories, hotels, restaurants, and food processing, as it kills unwanted microorganisms. UV lights also detect organic mineral deposits on surfaces that haven’t been properly cleaned, and are used for air and water purification.
• Forensics: UV is a helpful investigative tool at crime scenes that locates and identifies bodily fluids (semen, blood, bile, etc.)
• Herpetology: Reptiles need long wave UV light to metabolize calcium for bone and egg production. In a reptile enclosure, you can now replace the typical fluorescent UV lamp (for calcium absorption ) with an LED UV light.

Each 16.4 foot spool of UV Strip Light comes with lead wires already soldered on for easy connection to a 12V DC power source. To install, just peel the paper off the back of the strip and stick to a surface with the 3M adhesive backing.
