Make way for our High Density 24V Brighter Flexible LED Strip Light, which is twice as bright as our standard Brighter Flexible LED Strip Light. This low voltage, 24 Volt DC strip is sold by the foot at a custom length of your choice. The High Density Brighter Strip Light uses the same high power tri-chip LEDs as our standard brighter strip, but has twice as many per foot, making it up to four times brighter than Elemental’s standard Flexible LED Light Strip. There are 6 LEDs every 4 inches and 18 bulbs per foot, and the strip is cuttable every 4 inches. Yet the High Density Brighter Strip uses only 4.4 watts of electricity per foot!

This high-output, high-intensity LED lighting works well for lighting installations that are larger than most, or require a light that can illuminate over a longer distance than usual. Whether for illuminating signs, cove lighting, interior lighting, or exhibit lighting, large cabinet lighting, project lighting, and any sort of close application task lighting, this strip gives you the brightest light of any of our fixtures. Despite its brightness, the low energy consumption of this strip means you not only save money, but the low voltage power lessens the chance of electrical shock and fire danger.

The High Density 24V Brighter Strip’s low profile of only 0.1 inches, and a width of less than half an inch, allows for use in almost any location.

I used this on a robot I've been working on for a while and was very happy with the product, but mostly with Elemental LED's customer service.

  1. Do you sell a 24V driver that will power this strip? I don't want to use an adapter.

From Guest at 6/4/10 7:01 AM
Yes, our <a href=\http://www.elementalled.com/ElementalLED-Store/LED-Power-Supplies/Dimmable-LED-Driver:-Power-Supply-194/product.html\">60 Watt Dimmable Driver</a> powers both 12V and 24V DC LED fixtures.
  2. Is this product available at spool pricing?

From Guest at 6/4/10 7:28 AM
Yes, all of our flexible strips are available at a discounted price by the spool. On the products tab above, just click on \Spools: Flexible LED Lights\".
  3. Hi,
I have an application where i intend to accent light a vaulted ceiling and have an approximate 50ft length of roof. I want the maximum lumens, but dimmable, in a warm light. I Intend to mount the tape inside a hidden coving.
How long a run can I have off a single power supply? I would want the whole length to dim equally and ideally be switchable by two switches ( at either end of the run) it would be acceptable to have a single dimmer though.

From Guest at 11/14/10 11:44 PM
Each run can be up to 16.5 feet long. If you want to put several runs on the same power supply, you can use our 18/2 Lamp Wire to create parallel runs.
  4. I want to use this 24v light strip as a cab light in my old 1952 Dodge military truck. The electrical system is 24v dc (two 12v batteries in series) but the charging voltage when the truck is running is 28.5 volts. Is there any problem using this light strip as a cab light? I do not want to drill any holes and the adhesive backing sounds perfect.

From Guest at 12/19/10 5:38 PM
This strip will be perfect as a cab light. However, you'll want to the power going to the strip as close to 24V as possible, both so it doesn't overload and overheat the strip for safety reasons, and because overloading LEDs significantly reduces their lifespan (while under-loading them actually increases the life.)

We'd suggest talking to an auto parts store about possibly using a resistor between the batteries and the LEDs to bring the voltage down to 24V.
  5. I currently have xenon lamps , 5 watt lamps 2inch spacing in cove wired to a 24 volt transformer. I have three sections, 4 ft 6inches, 5ft 9inches and 14ft 8 inches. Can I use the existing 24 volt transformer with your LED lights? What would be the equivalent to what I have now, ie. color and light output?
    Thank You

From Guest at 3/21/11 10:30 AM
Yes, as long as the existing transformer is a steady 24V DC, it will work with our 24V strips. The High Density 24V Brighter Strip draws 4.4W per foot, has a Lumen output of 240 (ww) / 290 (nw) per foot, and has a Color Temp.: 2700k (ww), 5000k (nw). Two things to keep in mind are that this strip has a run limit of 16.4 feet, so each 16.4 feet needs its own connections to power; and we recommend that you load the power source only to 80% or less of its capacity, not to the full 100%, as the combined wattage of several feet of strip adds up to a bit more than the wattage per foot.
