Flexible Ultraviolet LED Strip Light (UV) spool

The Ultraviolet LED Strip Light, sold by the spool, is a highly specific LED lighting tool that nonetheless has a wide array of business and home uses. Each 16.4 foot spool of UV Strip Light comes with lead wires soldered on for connection to a 12V DC power source. This UL-listed ultraviolet strip light, rated at 385 Nanometers, gives off UV light that falls in the range of "Near" UV light that is nearly invisible to the naked eye. But ultraviolet LEDs are useful for many applications.

Common uses of UV light include:

• Security: use the UV strip light to authenticate documents: driver’s licenses, passports, and credit cards usually include a watermark that is visible only under UV light. Use it to detect the authenticity of materials that may look the same under visible light, such as money, artwork, minerals, and gems, but which fluoresce to different degrees under ultraviolet light.
• Sterilization: our ultraviolet LED lights are used to sterilize workspaces and tools in medical facilities, laboratories, hotels, restaurants, and food processing, as it kills unwanted microorganisms. UV lights also detect organic mineral deposits on surfaces that haven’t been properly cleaned, and for air and water purification
• Forensics: UV is a helpful investigative tool at crime scenes that locates and identifies bodily fluids (semen, blood, bile, etc.)
• Herpetology: Reptiles need long wave UV light to metabolize calcium for bone and egg production. In a reptile enclosure, you can now replace the typical fluorescent UV lamp (for calcium absorption ) with an LED UV light.
