Elemental LED is transitioning to the new Clicktight™ Strip Light Connectors. If you don't see the size or length option you need here, please go to the Clicktight™ Strip Light Splice Connector page.

The Flexible LED Strip Light Splice Connector is designed to connect our flexible LED strip lights to a low-voltage 12V DC power driver. This easy-to-use connector slips on and snaps tightly into place on the end of a strip light, giving you two wires for hooking up to one of our low-voltage DC power drivers (for single color strip) or 4 wires for connecting to an RGB color controller (RGB version), and eliminates the need for soldering.

The Splice Connector is available in these versions that fit different strips:

  • Standard type: fits 0.3 inch wide Flexible, Softview™ and High Density Strips
  • Brighter type: both our 0.4 inch wide Brighter Strip Lights and High Density 12V Brighter Strip, as well as standard Flexible, High Density, and Softview™ Strips
  • Double Wide type: fits Double Wide Strip Light
  • RGB type: fits Flexible and High Density RGB Strip Light

Securing the connection of the wires on this splice connector to the positive and negative wires of your 12V driver is simple: just use two of our Wire Nuts or two standard insulated crimp connectors rated for 12V DC power. This splice cable is an essential accessory for making a safe and permanent hard-wired connection to your LED power source, and avoids the need for soldering.

This Flexible LED Strip Light Splice Connector is rated as a 12V DC accessory, and is easy to install. Just pull out the brown tab, slide the strip in after making a clean cut at the scissors mark on the strip light, and push the tab back into place. Please note that the splice connector will work properly on only one end of a strip light, so you may need to try both ends to find the right polarity.

  1. Love it!

Reviewed on April 14, 2013 by Landon

When i got it i was a little confused, but i just used some common sense and figured it out in less than 5 minutes! they work great! I can't wait to order more and install them underneath my truck's seats!
  2. No Good Connectors...

No instructions, very hard to work with, i finally gave up and soldered the wires.
I wish I had not spent the money on the connectors
  3. connector

Reviewed on October 13, 2012 by steve

I used this to separate strips between shelves, worked good. I have used connectors like this before so connection was no problem. I do agree that there needs to be a little better instructions with this stuff, I can see were someone not familiar could spend a little time to figure things out.
  4. Hard To Work With

Reviewed on August 8, 2012 by Lawrence

The connectors to the light strips are very delicate and hard to work with. It was difficult to get the light strips to stay connected while attaching the other end. It seems there would be a better way of connecting two light strips together.
  5. Kitchen Lighting

Reviewed on July 31, 2012 by William

My electrician had no problem with the installations of the strip LED lights. It was his first time. He put them behind the cabinet lip and we are moving them back to get rid of the shadow. We have also added a Lutron dimmer. Great light and super low wattage to operate. About the same as using hockey pucks but less wiring, probably all in all less expensive.
  6. Works well, but tricky

Reviewed on July 27, 2012 by Jon

Used splice connector for hardwired lights. Wasn't clear which was hot and which was neutral, figured out by trial and error. Bracket connection to strip is delicate at first and a bit tricky.
  7. Works Well--Once Secured to Light Strip

Reviewed on July 12, 2012 by Richard

This connector is a great way to connect power to the High Density Flexible LED Light Strip. Used two of these connectors to install LED lights strips in an electronics project. Once the leads are soldered to the power source (easy task), the connection to the LED light strip is fairly easy by following the instructions. A word of caution: The connection to the LED light strip is very touchy and will break contact if bumped or moved. Solved the problem by securing connector/connection with a bit of duct tape (what else). Still a very well thought out product. Once the connection problem is solved I'd say it is excellent!
  8. Flexible Connector

No instructions. On my own. Screwed up until I caught on. Not overly impressed.
  9. Very easy to make connections with these connectors

Reviewed on May 9, 2012 by James

I am competent with a soldering iron and thought about soldering the leads from the transformer directly to the pads on the flexible LED strip. Instead I opted to use these connectors and soldered the leads of the connector and covered with heat shrink tubing. Worked very well and gave professional results. The connectors are easy to use and gave a tight, positive electrical connection. Will definitely use them again!
  10. Difficult to connect to delicate Strip

Reviewed on March 28, 2012 by Cason

This is difficult to connect to the strip and doesn't keep a good connection.
  11. Rock solid

Reviewed on January 25, 2012 by Jim

Rock solid product, easy to install and looks fantastic. The hardest part of the job was figuring out where to pull electricity from. Everything else was a breeze!
  12. Too bulky

Reviewed on January 10, 2012 by Mark

This connector is too bulky and stiff considering the delicate strip it is trying to attach to. It took me several tries to get it to seat right. Save yourself some aggravation and spend a minute to solder on leads.
  13. Flexible LED Strip Light Splice Connector

Reviewed on January 10, 2012 by Dan

Works fine, although it took some time to figure out that the splice connector wanted the 3/8" LED strip light to be over to one side in order to work, not centered within the splice connector's 1/2" channel.
  14. Flexible Strip Light Connector

Reviewed on January 1, 2012 by Paul

The instructions say" pull out brown tab"- it looks black to me.Once I got passed this it worked ok. The contacts to the strip are touchy- one bump and you may loose contact. They work well once all the wires are stapled or secured to prevent movement of the connector.
  15. a good one

Reviewed on December 28, 2011 by Lance

the light strip and splicer are very easy to use.

  1. I have a some LED strip I want to use to replace 12v incandescent lights in my vintage RV. It is a 15' sppol with a DC plug connector on one end and 2 wires on the other end. How do I cut this to a smaller length?

From Lumatic at 1/11/13 12:35 PM
To cut the Strip Light, locate the "scissors" symbol printed on the Strip Light, and cut along the cut line going across the Strip. To reconnect the Strip, you can either use one of our Strip Light Splice Connectors, or solder wire directly onto the contact points on the Strip Light.

    Thank you
