There is no need to solder anymore! With the Flexible LED Strip Light DC Plug Connector, Elemental has found a solution for connecting our Standard Single Color and Brighter Flexible LED Strip Lights to a power source, a special solder cable that is designed and manufactured exclusively for Elemental. The Flexible LED Strip Light DC Plug Connector joins our LED strip lighting with a 12V DC adapter, and comes in two sizes: the Standard Single Color version fits single color strips (which are 0.3 inches wide); the Brighter version fits Brighter strips (which are 0.4 inches wide.) Both versions feature our Flexible LED strip light connector at one end, and our standard 1/4 inch DC coaxial plug at the other.
Eliminates need to solder
Provides a permanent, secure connection
Saves Time
Using this connector couldn't be simpler. Instructions for use:
Determine which end of the strip matches the polarity of the connector (that is, properly align the + and - of each)
Pull the brown tabs out, away from the connector
Slide one end of the Flexible LED Strip Light into the small LED molex clamp
Using care, firmly secure the clamp with the two small brown tabs by squeezing them toward the LED strip.
Plug in your DC adapter!
You may be wondering: "How do I know which power source is most appropriate?" Here are the facts: each foot of Flexible Single Color LED Strip Light consumes only 1.44 watts, so if you're powering 1-16 feet of strip lighting you should use our 24 Watt 12V DC Adapter, and if you're powering 17-41 feet you should use our 60 Watt 12V DC Adapter. Our Brighter LED Strip Light consumes about 2.2 Watts, so if you need to power 1-11 feet of strip lighting you should use our 24 Watt 12V DC Adapter, and our 60 Watt 12V DC Adapter will power 12-27 feet of brighter strip.
Excellent product
I am very happy with my light strip. I use it to illuminate my hideaway computer keyboard and it works perfectly. If only it came with an on-off switch. I power it on/off by just plugging in or out the connection jack so, yes, a switch would be a nice addition.

The product works very well the only thing I would change for my application is make the wire long enough to tie a loose knot in so it won't pull thru a hole and loosen the sticky back on the lights. Good product though.

I recently bought and now testing Flexible LED Strip lights (2-16' spools) with 12v adaptors and DC plug connectors. However, after about 20seconds of being plugged in, the lights start flashing. On for 2sec / off for 2sec. The lights are to be on continuously. How can this be changed?
Our in-house engineer is guessing that you might be overdriving the power supply, so that it can't provide
enough current. It's either going into thermal or overcurrent shutdown. For this reason, we recommend that our power supplies be loaded to only 80% of their capacity. If this doesn't resolve the problem, please contact us again.
