This LED RGB DMX Decoder is an essential tool in a dynamic multi-color LED lighting system, and allows your digital RGB lighting control system to send commands to your full color LED light fixtures. The DMX Decoder provides a necessary interface between our LED DMX Controller and LED lighting, allowing for full control of color and other variables in your LED lights. This tool translates digital DMX signals from an LED color controller or DMX software into an analog signal that commands LED fixtures.

This Decoder is compatible with both 12V and 24V DC LED lighting fixtures, and features one output each for the Red, Green, and Blue channels of an RGB LED strip light or light bar, as well as one input and one output DMX-512 data port for connection to lighting control software or to one of our DMX Controllers. The DMX Decoder also includes a DIP switch for assigning the binary value of the DMX-512 signal for receiving data and for choosing from 256 levels of brightness.

Each RGB Decoder includes a six-foot data cable for connecting to a computer or DMX Controller.

  1. Can this decoder communicate with Art-Net (aka Art-Net to DMX)? I'm curious if this would work with Luminair software that I have on iPhone http://www.synthe-fx.com/products/luminair. I would plug the decoder into the wi-fi router and control the home lights via Luminair.

Although the DMX decoder has an RJ-45 jack, it is not an ethernet device and does not support Art-Net. You would still need a DMX ethernet node (such as the following: http://www.enttec.com/index.php?main_menu=Products&pn=70305&show=description&name=ode ) to translate the IP packets to DMX which could then be interpreted by the DMX decoder to control LED's.
