Our Cree Dimmable LED Puck Light is a stylish and compact under cabinet LED light that provides focused task lighting in any room in the house while consuming a fraction of the electricity that a conventional light bulb does, even a CFL. This eco-friendly, high-end solution for under counter, confined space, shelf, and cabinet lighting, retail display window lighting, and accent lighting cannot be compared to ordinary LED puck lights. With a minimalist design and earth-friendly technology, our UL Listed dimmable LED Puck Light will be your brightest option available. You'll be amazed at the brightness of our Cree puck--which consumes 4 watts of electricity--and if it's too bright, you can dim it.

This dimmable puck is made of sturdy brushed aluminum, and is available with these finishes: standard aluminum, satin black, light wood, dark wood, or copper. The puck is available in two light colors: warm white and neutral white. These LED puck lights feature a superior and brighter bulb made by Cree, the most cutting-edge manufacturer of LEDs in the world. Our customers have found our Cree LED pucks to be excellent under cabinet LED lighting to substitute for hot halogen and incandescent lighting, and the new dimmable version of one of our most popular under cabinet LED fixtures is even better. The advantages of using this puck are unlimited:

  • Sleek, sturdy aluminum housing
  • Gives off very little heat
  • Uses 10% of the electricity of an incandescent or halogen puck light
  • Manufactured without the use of toxic materials

Although the Elemental LED Puck Light exists on a carbon diet, you can count on not only lower emissions but a lower power cost. This under counter kitchen light would cost you only $9 in electric bills if left on continuously for one year! Like other LEDs, it has an estimated lifetime of over 50,000 hours, so you won't have to worry about replacement any time soon.

  1. A great product

These lights are great. They are very bright and the warm light versions are very close to daylight coloring (just a touch warmer). Very happy with the service you provided and the product.
  2. Look great and give lots of light!

Reviewed on July 18, 2012 by Cue Miller

I bought 11 of these lights to replace downright dangerous halogen puck lights that kept exploding (3 times!) over a built in "Murphy" bed in our guest room. These are far more attractive, and put out a lot of light for reading and to illuminate built-in bedside cabinets. Very nice light quality, too, and the dimmers are a great feature. Electrician had a tough time installing them inside the built-in cabinetry but it was absolutely worth the effort. I highly recommend these.
  3. Very Crisp Lighting

Used at customer's bar. LED lighting was of much higher quality than the halogen puck lights we took out. It was a night and day change.

  1. Are these safe to be installed into kitchen cabinets? They get really hot, even too hot to touch. They are driven by a 60W Dimmer Driver purchased here as well.

From Guest at 7/4/11 9:37 PM
These can be safely installed in any cabinets. The operating temperature of these pucks is 95° - 113° F, which is much less hot that traditional halogen puck lights.
  2. I am not interested in a dimmable puck light. Can the 3W dimmable puck light be wired directly into the power source, bypassing the dimmer switch? But, how would one turn it on?? I want a black (or possibly copper) finish, and there aren't many options on your site for that. What would you recommend?

From Guest at 7/12/11 5:37 PM
Yes the Dimmable Puck Light can be wired directly to a Driver without a Dimmer Switch. It will simply remain at full power any time power is run to it. The Driver could then be wired back to a normal On/Off Switch which would simply supply or deny power to the Driver, turning the lights on and off.
The Black and Copper Puck Lights are currently available in a Warm White (2700K) color Temperature.
  3. Are the CREE LED Puck Light Kits (includes the transformer) approved under California Title 24?

From Guest at 7/22/11 9:57 AM
We are in the process of acquiring title 24 for the puck lights, but they are not certified yet. Please think about subscribing to our mailing list (which you can do at the bottom of our home page), where we regularly announce this and other product news.
  4. I have wire stubs under my cabinets that run to a dimmer switch on the wall. Can I wire these into that switch and use the wall switch to power and dim the puck lights?

From Guest at 8/16/11 5:20 PM
If the switch is an electronic low-voltage switch that already has 12v DC power running through it, then yes you can simply attach the strip light to the wires running to your cabinets.
If the switch is a magnetic low-voltage dimmer switch (like most models made by Lutron), then you will need to install a magnetic low-voltage driver between the switch and the strip lights.
If the switch is not either one of these types (a dimmer for 120v AC), you will need to replace the switch with either one of the above options.

    Thank you
  5. Do you carry LED puck lights that change colors and are dimmable? Approx 4 watts for under kitchen cabinets

From Charlie at 10/27/12 11:33 AM
Yes we do carry Color Changing LED Puck Lights. These will be able to change color and dim using a Color Controller. You may find more information at the following link.

    Thank you
  6. Are these units wet approved to be used in the ceiling of a shower?

From Reachief at 11/2/12 2:44 PM
The Cree LED Puck Lights are not Waterproof or Water Resistant, so they would not be recommended for Shower Installations.

    Thank you
