This LED light bar is a sturdy, compact and bright light fixture that fits into almost any space in your home, and its low heat output makes it ideal for any confined space lighting. It's made of brushed aluminum and can be used in damp and dusty locations, and cleaned with a sponge or paper towel. This durable, waterproof LED light bar is an energy-efficient alternative to the fluorescent tube and can be installed in just minutes for a variety of indoor lighting:

This LED light is also waterproof and can be used almost anywhere outdoors: on a deck, patio, garden, greenhouse, and landscape lighting.
This clearance model differs from the newer version only in the size of the connector and may differ in color temperature from the newer model. Although the plug style is the same, the plug size of this older model is different from the current model and the two models are incompatible, so this clearance light bar will not connect directly to a newer model light bar or to any of our current accessories that feature waterproof plugs. This product is warrantied but non-returnable.
This LED bar can be modified to work with all our accessories. After cutting off one waterproof plug to expose two bare wires, this bar is can be powered in two ways: connect directly to a 12V Driver using our wire connecting products, or use a female DC Wire Plug or female 12V Adapter Splice Cable to connect the wires to a 12V Adapter. These DC plug accessories also make this bar compatible with the rest of our family of DC plug accessories. Please note that all accessories and power supplies are sold separately.

Great price, very bright, but....

Nothing in the description of these lights indicated that the unit could not be cut to size as the strip lighting can. Since the cut marks can be seen in the picture, I had assumed I could cut to size. I had to contact tech support to learn that this would void the warranty.
Sold As Is. Current year's waterproof plug accessories such as Waterproof Extension Cables and Solder Connector Pairs are not compatible with Clearance Light Bars.

Does waterproof mean they can be used under water in an aquarium?

What accessories not compatibale. So the connector on the light is not compatiable with the currect extension cables

So why not help clarify and list exactly what is needed (model #) to light the LED's. It obviously needs a correct adapter (b/w the strip and a power supply - no splice) if not a correct size extension cable also, and of course, a proper DC power supply. That would remove any confusion. Thanks.
