We collaborate with a lot of businesses to create dazzling, eye-catching, booths for trade shows. Recently, Justin Roy from Baker Boys Distribution, a skater lifestyle brand, approached us to light up a Warhol inspired booth for their latest business venture, a line of hip sunglasses named Brigada.
In addition to BBD’s main goal, “to provide quality skate products made by skaters for skaters,” Justin says for BBD, “skating goes beyond just riding on four wheels. It is a way of life that influences our style, music, and art.” So it’s no wonder this company looked to reference one of the most influential pop artists of all time: Andy Warhol. “Many of us here at BBD are also artists, musicians, photographers, etc. It started to become clear that our goal for the Brigada booth was to make that connection, ” said Justin of the initial inspiration for the booth.
Taking all of this into consideration, our Customer Service Rep, Scott Sims, chose our Flexible LED Strip Light in six solid colors (red, green, blue, amber, purple and pink) to reflect the colorful brand. To control the exact brightness of the lights, our Reign LED Dimmer Switch set the mood.
Every year we do two Agenda shows: one in January and one in August. Agenda has become the main action sports tradeshow for our industry. We like to work with Agenda to try and provide exciting displays that speak to our customers and display our products in the best way possible. This was our first time bringing Brigada to Agenda, so we really wanted to make a good impression. I think we were able to achieve that. This is one of my most favorite designs, and I will probably use this as a base for future shows.
The response we got was great– the loud use of colors attracted people to come in the booth, it really got them interested in what the company is about and our products. The lights from the shelves brought a nice little glow to more than just the shelves, it was as if the whole booth was illuminated.
I found Elemental on a Google search. After speaking with Scott, I realized I was going to need some assistance on getting the right parts for my setup. He was very knowledgeable about the products, and willing to help me make this a great display. From the initial phone call I knew Elemental would be the right guys for the job. Your products were very affordable in the world of LED, which can be very expensive. At first glance I was a little skeptical, but the products were very easy to work with, and provided a great range of light with minimal power usage. I would like to thank Scott and everyone at Elemental for helping me have another successful show. I will recommend you to all searching for lighting needs.
