Bay Area Green Tours is a local San Francisco Bay Area business who’s mission is to provide educational tours and events that demonstrate the sustainable economy in action, inspire support of local green businesses, and empower people to incorporate environmental responsibility and social justice into their personal and professional lives.
On July 25th, Bay Area Green Tours is inviting people to join them on their “Moveable Feast” tour. This Berkeley based walking tour showcases sustainable restaurants in Berkeley such as Gather Restaurant, Revival Bar + Kitchen and Five Restaurant. Tour attendees will feast on local organic fair while learning about the importance of slow food and sustainable food-to table best practices.
Guest speaker Mark Pasternak, farmer & owner of Devil’s Gulch Ranch in Marin, will discuss his family owned farming business, how Devil’s Gulch was set up to distribute food into the local market and how he is promoting sustainable farming education around the San Francisco Bay Area.
Tickets to this event are $85, which covers the cost of all the food from all three restaurants. The tour goes from 5:30 – 9:00 pm and everyone will meet at Gather Restaurant located at 2200 Oxford Street, Berkeley (one block from the Downtown Berkeley BART station in the David Brower Center)
This is a great opportunity to learn how sustainable organic restaurants and farms operate together and how the green market is moving. Plus, it is a chance to mingle with and meet likeminded people in a relaxed environment. You can sign up for the event here.
