Eco Tuesday is a monthly green networking event that happens the last Tuesday of every month in San Francisco. Each event has different green sponsors who want to support the green market in San Francisco and network attendees. The goal is to bring green professionals together to brainstorm, collaborate and help push the market forward by sharing information. All Eco Tuesday events feature a guest speaker who discusses a relevant green topic.
This month’s event (Today, July 24th) features Linda Brown, Executive Vice President of SCS Global Services, a global leader in third-party environmental, sustainability and food quality certification, auditing, testing and standards development. She’ll be discussing greenwashing, sustainable packaging and corporate responsibility. Linda has had a 28-year career with SCS and has been involved with energy efficiency, biodegradable products, sustainable manufacturing, recyclable content, environmental preferable product assessment and more.
This is a great opportunity to learn about the human and environmental health impact of products and their lifecycle, what is being done to increase transparency with green labeling and how to take a leadership stance on protecting the concept of sustainability.
Plus, this is an event where likeminded green professionals in the San Francisco Bay Area can meet each other and share ideas. There is ample opportunity to grow the green market in San Francisco and these types of events are great to build this network and grow relationships in the green space.
The cost is $10 if you buy online or $15 if you show up. For more details about the event, check out the EcoTuesday website.
