Part LED wallpaper and part customizable decal, Wallbrights are a new idea by designer Debra Courtenay. Each hexagonal shape contains an RGB LED light and employs an adhesive backing, which makes sticking it to the wall simple and quick. You can cluster as many of these LED accent lights together as you’d like, in any pattern or shape you choose by connecting the male/female plugins of each piece. To power the whole thing, simply plug the final piece into the wall socket and you’re good to go! The colors, brightness and display settings of your new, illuminated wall art can be controlled using a Bluetooth enabled wireless app on your smartphone!
Is this a home LED lighting idea you would spend money on? Maybe as a gift? Because it turns out this concept is in the “development” phase on Quirky. Quirky is a website dedicated to helping inventors develop and implement product ideas. Once the inventor has gone through all the steps of developing a product, Quirky then chooses which ones get made, usually by popular vote. Quirky partners with big name corporations like Bed Bath and Beyond, Target, Staples and Office Max; the most popular product ideas could end up on their shelves! Now, you can head on over to Quirky’s “Upcoming” section to help them choose the right price for this product. Then, if all goes well, it will be available to the masses!
Thanks to Quirky for the images.
