As part of Elemental LED’s eco efforts, we purchase our recycled computers from Green Citizen, a local Bay Area computer recycling company. As it turns out, Green Citizen just announced that they have been certified as a B Corporation.
Becoming a B Corporation means that Green Citizen must uphold social, environmental, and economic ideals and business practices. Some of these business practices include responsible recycling and waste management, energy and water conservation best practices, financial transparency and socially just employee policies.
This means that every time Elemental LED purchases a recycled or refurbished computer from Green Citizen, those dollars are being used to promote a business that is 3rd party certified as being a socially and environmentally conscious business leader in the San Francisco Bay Area.
