If you’ve ever dreamed of becoming a marine biologist, this is the chandelier for you. With all of those beautiful-yet-tentacle-like glass strands, you might feel as if some rare form of sea urchin was descending upon the dining room table…not a bad thing, if you’re into sea creatures. Created by Isabell Hamm for Mawa Design, this pendant lamp is actually called the “Madrid,” and is crafted using over 200 pieces of glass. It creates a stunning, warm, glittering effect over a long table. Lit with eco-friendly and long-lasting LED lights, it stays cool and runs efficiently, and would provide perfect dinner party or entertainment lighting. Lit with blue LED lights, as shown below, it takes on a bit of an icicle vibe—great for the winter months! The “Madrid” also comes in more of a teardrop shape, which would look great hung in a corner as an eye-catching accent piece.
