Remember when I blogged about Solitary Inflorescence? The giant kinetic flower sculpture by Poetic Kinetics, adorned with interactive DMX LED products from Elemental LED made an unforgettable appearance at this year’s Coachella Music and Arts festival. And it was reborn about 2 months later at Electric Daisy Carnival, except instead of an orchid-like bloom, it boasted daisy-like petals, alight with waterproof LED lights in every color of the rainbow.  The flower’s stem still housed an articulating boom lift, which allowed it to reign over the festival grounds, swiveling from left to right or swooping down to ground level. The dimmable LED lights on the petals created a dynamic show of highly saturated colors and interactive effects, making this second version of the flower even more impressive that the first! Thanks to Poetic Kinetic’s installation, the Electric Daisy Carnival truly lived up to its name.
