Stay away from this kit. The dimmer that comes with this kit is of very poor quality. It doesn't dim smoothly and is hard to operate. Turning it from off to "low" results in a big flash of light. I returned it with a comment on the bad dimmer and they cheerfully refunded only 85%. Beyond the dimmer, the light quality is quite harsh and casts strong shadows. The only thing good to say about it is the housing. They would have looked good under my cabinets.

Can I cut the connectors off the wires and splice them back on? I need to thread through narrow openings.

Are the LED puck lights only surface mounted or can they be resessed?
