Our 12V Adapter converts the AC voltage of your home or business to the 12 Volt DC that most of Elemental's LED fixtures use. Converting your voltage with a DC Adapter is easy: just plug your LED lights into the 1/4 inch jack of the LED light adapter either directly or using one of our simple connectors. An adapter is the right choice if you are installing just a few light fixtures, or want to avoid making a permanent installation with a bigger, hardwired power driver. Our LED adapter is a plug-and-play LED lighting transformer at its most effortless.
Calculating the wattage your fixture needs is a snap. Our LED strip lights, for example, use 1.44 Watts per foot, so if you need to power 5 feet of strip lighting to light up a cabinet, the 12 Watt Adapter is more than enough to supply the 7.5 Watts you need. Or lets say you are installing twelve of our 20 Inch LED Light Bars in your kitchen cabinets; at 2.4 Watts each, youll get the needed 29 Watts and then some from the 36 Watt Adapter.
All of our DC adapters and Power Drivers are compatible with 100V - 240V AC, 50/60 Hz systems, which means you can use them in any country in the world. Beyond the opportunity to make a more environmentally-friendly choice, 12V LED fixtures also eliminate fire danger and shock risk, while using fewer installation materials since you won't need thick copper wires. We encourage our eco-conscious customers to reuse old adapters from electronic devices that are no longer operating. To reuse adapters to power Elemental's LED lights, just be sure they're 12V DC.

I am not thoroughly experienced with adapters, but this did seem better than the ones I have bought before. I would rather review my experience with the company.
I had a great experience. The person who helped me was very competent, spoke english as his first language(VERY IMPORTANT), was able to understand my needs, and provided me with the perfect ingredients for my project. He even sent me a couple of extra pieces so as to offer me options. Everything worked very well with everything else. I was able to set up, and operate everthing in about 3 minutes. I am thoroughly impressed with this company, and will definitely be using them for all of my future LED needs. -
96 watt unit

I so far am impressed. yes it has a very short delay, prior to power up, but what's more important is that it has a fan inside to keep it cool. The fan also continues to run for a second or two when unplugged...therefore the unit on both power up and power down has a delay feature.....doesn't bother me. One thing I did notice was the 3 point female end 110 volt power cable was not very tight on the male prongs inside the adapter....EASY cure, simply use a "Dull" ended small spade, such as a very small flat tip screw-driver, and carefully press it through the rubber housing of the female end at each side needed to slightly compress the female connectors embedded in the cord. Doesn't take much, and when you remove the "small" spade, the connectors are still completely insulated. So no hazard, and now I have a very tight fitting connection when I plug the 110 power cord into the 96 watt 12 volt adapter. Worked GREAT for me. -
Pricey for what you get

This little supply works, but it will supply no more than the rating. I also experienced the annoying delay. I was expecting better quality considering this is about double the price of the same rated supply from Digikey and other distributors. -
Disappointing Delay

Wired up the LEDs to the power supply and flipped the switch. 2 to 2.5 seconds later the LEDs lit. Swapped power supplies, same thing. Plugged the LEDs to a battery and instant on. Why does it take nearly 3 seconds to have light?

What is the cable length on the 6 Watts Adapter?

Can these adapters be used with dimmers on the 120 V AC side of the adapter?
From Guest at 12/30/11 9:57 PMThese 12v Adapters are only designed to dim on the low voltage side of the system. Dimming on the high voltage side can and more than likely will cause damage to the Adapter or other components.
